POM-H UV (UV-Stabilized Homopolymer Acetal) — Sheet & Rod

POM-H UV is a UV-stabilized acetal homopolymer engineered to maintain mechanical performance and dimensional stability when exposed to prolonged ultraviolet radiation. Standard acetal grades — including unfilled POM-H — are susceptible to surface degradation, discoloration, and loss of mechanical properties when exposed continuously to sunlight. POM-H UV addresses this limitation through a UV stabilizer package incorporated at the formulation stage, enabling reliable long-term performance in outdoor and sun-exposed industrial environments. The UV stabilizer system in POM-H UV works by absorbing or quenching the UV energy that would otherwise initiate photodegradation of the polymer backbone. This preserves surface integrity, color stability, mechanical strength, and dimensional accuracy over extended outdoor service life. Applications in exposed industrial enclosures, outdoor conveyor systems, utility infrastructure, and environmental monitoring equipment all benefit from the material's resistance to UV-induced embrittlement and surface chalking.

Mechanical performance. POM-H UV retains the core mechanical benefits of the POM-H base resin: high stiffness, good tensile and flexural strength, excellent fatigue resistance, and very low moisture absorption.
